Departmental Overview
Our award-winning team is seeking a full stack developer for the Web and Digital Solutions group at University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). This role involves a full range of online application development to advance the goals of UDAR and campus-wide development partners.
Position Overview
Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function.

Responsibilities
- Develop websites and applications that meet UCB security and accessibility standards
- Analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the end product
- Follow defined continuous integration and deployment (i.e. CI/CD) strategies
- Develop offline and/or asynchronous code in Python
- Analyze and manipulate data in Python
- Browser compatibility testing across multiple operating systems
- Perform security updates, troubleshoot systems and perform application maintenance
- Develops functional specifications and system implementation plans
- Complete assigned tasks in an issue tracking system
- Properly document solution(s) implemented
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, standards and research, recommend, and apply new technologies as necessary
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, especially to non-technical personnel
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable Python development experience, Django a plus
- Demonstrable experience writing clean, original Javascript code
- Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Sass, responsive theme development
- Demonstrated Experience with Dev-Ops and QA automation tools
- Familiarity with relational database (Postgres) applications
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex applications, working with AJAX, fetch and REST APIs
- Applied knowledge of WCAG/W3C/508 Compliance standards
- Demonstrated experience working with Git
- Ability to troubleshoot code/environment issues
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud architecture/environments
- Experience with Python data analysis and manipulation
Salary & Benefits
This is an exempt, monthly paid position. Hiring range is $85,000 - $100,000/annually, commensurate with experience.
