Introduction to the job
As a PCB Layout Engineer within Development & Engineering, you will be operating in a fast paced and multidisciplinary development environment. Using a combination of technical and personal skills, the PCB Layout Engineer will deliver: PCB Layout Designs, PCB stack-ups and technology approaches, PCB TPD (Technical Product Documentation) while adhering to industry (IPC) and ASML documented design guidelines for Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Test (DFT), ensuring optimal signal integrity and minimal cross-talk.
This individual works closely with the suppliers and ASML PCB development teams to secure an excellent quality of Printed circuit boards delivered by our suppliers.
Role and responsibilities
Responsible of creating PCB Layout Designs within the Electronic Development Department
Review design documents
Create board technology specification to setup design
Import schematic and mechanical design into layout tooling
Setup the design technology and constraints according design rules
Create layout placement and routing according to constraints and design rules
Review layout design with project team
Generate production data of Layout Design
Collaborate/support/review outsourced PCB designs to 3rd parties
Early Involvement for Design Influence in PCB Layout Designs
Attend kick-off meetings
Review design deliverables and pre-Layout Input documents
Share PCB design and Way of Working knowledge
Share Mentor Graphics Expedition tool knowledge
Coach PCB Layout Designers
Coach/Buddy for junior and new hired colleagues
Share PCB design and Way of Working knowledge
Share PCB technology knowledge
Share Mentor Graphics Expedition tool knowledge

Education and experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering, (or similar)
Minimum 5 years PCB Layout experience on complex HDI designs
Proficient with IPC-2221A - Generic Standard on Printed Board Design
IPC CID(=) certification a plus
Mentor Graphics Xpedition experience a plus

Other information
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
