Position: Senior Structural Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to oversee complex, multi-discipline projects. This individual will provide expert judgment in evaluating and modifying engineering techniques and procedures and will play a vital role in maintaining client relationships and marketing efforts within the discipline.
Key Responsibilities:*
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following essential functions:
- Oversee and manage significant projects or multiple smaller projects with complex features.
- Act as a specialist advisor on technical issues and specific types of facilities or programs.
- Conduct structural calculations and prepare documentation for diverse and challenging projects.
- Proficiently utilize engineering software such as Enercalc and RISA.
- Manage proposals for mid-level projects.
- Approve effort estimates for assigned tasks within the discipline.
- Review and approve work performed by others in the discipline as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural emphasis and a licensed Structural Professional Engineer.
- Proven leadership experience within professional or technical organizations.
- A history of publishing professional papers is advantageous.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based with occasional site visits required.
Physical Demands:
The position requires extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation and may involve bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
