Senior Brand Designer

What You’ll Be Working On
We are seeking a Senior Brand Designer to join our team in Richmond. This role calls for a creative individual who has experience translating business strategy, objectives, brand strategy and brand personality into cohesive visual identities. Here's a bit more about the role:

• Crafting comprehensive visual systems for brand identities in both B2B and B2C industries including:
• Visual identity audit and competitive analysis
• Creative concepting of logo design
• Development of supporting identity system elements
• Applying visual identities (both Joe Smith-created and existing client systems) to a diverse set of production-ready materials (e.g., PowerPoint templates, trade show/job show booths, digital content, printed materials, novelty items)
• Developing employee and/or customer experience ideas and execution
• Helping teams find creative and interesting ways of sharing information with clients
• Creating materials and assets for our own internal marketing efforts
  

The Skills And Experience We're Looking For

• 5+ years working in a team or agency setting
• Expertise in crafting comprehensive visual systems (e.g., logo, typography, photography approaches, design elements)
• Ability to see patterns within an industry to determine how we can help our clients stand out from others
• Skill in translating client business strategy, objectives, brand strategy and brand personality into cohesive visual identities
• Knack for educating clients, guiding them through the design process, and enhancing their comprehension of design rationals
• Thorough understanding of how to develop a wide range of production-ready materials that all complement each other
• Ability to work within PowerPoint (design work is created within the Adobe Suite but support in developing client materials typically is done within PowerPoint)
• An understanding of additional components of brand identity and experience (e.g., sound, video, motion graphics) to be able to guide vendors in developing further brand materials
• Experience as an art director is preferred, but not required
