Lead Engineer, AEGIS Technology Solutions

Description

We are seeking a dynamic, technical leader to support NASA's Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions (AEGIS) Program. The Lead Engineer will oversee all aspects of the program, including data centers, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and collaboration services. Responsibilities include engaging with senior leadership at Leidos and NASA, managing vendor relationships, providing input on major service upgrades and projects, and staying up-to-date on industry trends. This role will also contribute to the development and maintenance of the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and agency direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct systems analysis and planning activities to support NASA
• Develop strategic plans for services and systems
• Review new technologies and architecture changes
• Maintain network technology laboratories
• Advise on impacts and mitigation strategies
• Sustain connection to Digital Modernization CTO organization
• Support program growth through innovative solutions

Basic Qualifications:

• BA degree and 12+ years of relevant experience
• Strong leadership and analytical skills
• Experience in strategic planning and building customer relationships
• Knowledge of IT technologies and architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITIL Certification
• SAFe® Agile Product Manager / Lean Portfolio Manager
• Project Management Professional (PMP)®
• Experience with NASA
