The Opportunity...

We are seeking a Junior Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design and a passion for creating visually captivating learning experiences that embrace the unexpected.

• Collaborate with the instructional design team to develop creative and engaging learning materials that push envelopes and turn heads, including e-learning courses, interactive tutorials, and live training sessions.
• Create and edit visual assets such as illustrations, infographics, icons, and images to support learning objectives.
• Develop and maintain brand identities across multiple verticals.
• Create and maintain a library of visual assets utilizing a combination of design tools.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand instructional goals and translate complex concepts into visually compelling materials.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to graphic design and instructional design, ensuring that our materials remain engaging and innovative.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design guidelines throughout the development process.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining project files and assets with a high level of attention to detail.

• Creative Visionary: You have a keen eye for design and a passion for creating visually stunning learning materials. You're always exploring new design trends and techniques to make learning more engaging and effective. You're eager to learn new tools that can enhance your creative output, including AI.
• Collaborative Team Player: You’re ready to join forces with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to bring learning concepts to life visually.
• Effective Visual Communicator: You have a knack for transforming complex information into clear, eye-catching graphics that not only boost understanding but also make learning stick.
• Angeleno: Whether you're a lifelong local or recent import from elsewhere, you should be currently based in the Los Angeles area and able to commute to our Playa Vista office three days a week, from Tuesday-Thursday.

• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an educational or corporate training context.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
• Basic understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design skills and creativity, especially in educational contexts.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards for visual design in learning materials is a plus.

$67,000 - $80,000 a year
