Senior Cloud Infrastructure/DevSecOps Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

• Provide analysis and expertise to optimize cloud infrastructure and optimize deployments, security, and scaling.
• Scale code deployments to accommodate the organic growth of a program, and facilitate the integration of new capabilities into its evolving ecosystem.
• Implement automated workflows, and workload scaling to aid in the delivery of software.
• Design and implement scalable cloud solutions that are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule; Develop scalable infrastructure to support the resource needs of customers without interrupting service to its current customers.
• Design and implement large data processing systems to handle ingestion of data at scale with monitored resources.
• Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
• Within a client’s enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the client in achieving their business objectives.
• Develop, test, and implement technology solutions and meet delivery commitments while ensuring solutions are implemented as expected and within agreed timeframes with the customer; inclusive of scalable workloads, resource management, etc.
• Aid in strategic development for large scale cloud ecosystems that involve multi-region, across a diverse mission space.
• Evaluate and advise on impact analysis for major design options for cloud infrastructure and cloud migration.
• Communicate regular updates regarding cloud security, automation, and implementation progress to all stakeholders.
• Design, prototype, test, and maintain software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
• Support requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS/GOTS cloud infrastructure needs, and cloud integration (with both new and legacy systems).
• Configure and provide availability for cloud development and collaboration used across various development teams.
• Developing, Testing, Debugging, and Troubleshooting of Containerized Infrastructure.
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
• Work with business and engineering partners to deploy new infrastructure for cloud enterprise platforms.
• Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health. Provide automated solutions to alert and provide management (on call incident and change management).
• Collaborate between team members, participating in AGILE scrum for prototyping and product development, as needed.
• Aid in the development of strategies, roadmaps, standards, and reference architecture / implementation of prototypes into scalable Cloud Enterprise tools.
• Develop and maintain current and planned state architectural documents such as Domain roadmaps, Standards, Patterns, reference architecture/implementation documents for Enterprise Applications.
• Develop full-stack and reference architecture designs for infrastructure across hybrid environments inclusive of cloud platforms.
• Investigate and participate in the deployment of Kubernetes monitoring, alerting and logging tools.
• Identify, design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters, to support moderately complex to complex operational, development, and security requirements.
• Shall solve complex problems with many variables using various security, network, storage, and computer platforms.
• Shall participate in the development of governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and the organization's resources are used responsibly for the infrastructure landscape.

Desired experiences:

• At least 5 years of professional experience with data science.
• Experience with cloud and network infrastructure, AWC cloud management, Kubernetes container orchestration, vertical and horizontal pod autoscaling, and other cloud infrastructure monitoring and management.
• Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, &/or technically advanced.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
• Relevant industry certification such as CompTIA Cloud Essentials/Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA)/Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)/CompTIA A+/CompTIA Security+/EMC Data Science Associates (EMCDSA)/Cloudera System Security Professional (CISSP)/Certified Cloud Professional (CCP) (Cloudera)/Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)/Private Cloud/Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) (Cloudera).
