Project Engineer - Machine Design
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Johnson County, KS within the packaging industry.
Project Engineer Job Summary:
• $100K +/- annual salary, relocation assistance available
• 8 am - 4:30 pm, M - F
• Design new machinery from the ground up, rebuilding or modifying existing machinery, recommending machinery for purchase, and troubleshooting unfamiliar machinery
• Responsible for both machine design and project management.
• Involved with identifying potential material and process savings through observation and analytical methods.
• Identify any safety shortcomings of new and existing equipment and design either mechanical or control solutions to resolve.
• Interact with Customers, Sales, Service, Quality and Plant personnel to identify and solve issues with packaging equipment.
Project Engineer Qualifications:
• BSME/BSMET or similar
• Possess a fundamental understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematics, PLC experience helpful but not required.
• 5 - 7 years machine design experience
• Travel on the average of one week every two months within the US
• 3D CAD experience, Creo ideal
