Job Description:

The Frontend Engineering Manager will lead a team of skilled frontend engineers, driving the development and optimization of our client's web applications. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high-performance user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and professional development.
  2. Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of user-facing features using modern frontend technologies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
  4. Implement and enforce coding standards, testing practices, and development workflows to ensure high-quality code and efficient processes.
  5. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team culture.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, ensuring the team is aligned with current best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in frontend development with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  3. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  4. Strong understanding of responsive design, web performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
  5. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the financial services industry or with fintech applications.
  2. Familiarity with backend technologies and API integration.
  3. Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).
  4. Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
