Security Engineer – Firewall Management
Our client is looking for qualified candidates to join their team as a Security Engineer focused on their national Firewall Management.
Role Overview:
As part of the team, you will oversee the deployment and management of Next Generation Firewalls to secure the enterprise's boundaries. This role involves working across approximately 400+ locations where these firewalls are installed. You will also participate in incident response and be part of an on-call rotation, providing support after hours and on weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in network administration.
- Proficient with Next Generation Firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, WAN, and internet technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Next Generation Firewalls from Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and/or Cisco.
- Understanding of threat protection, IDS/IDP concepts, and URL filtering tools.
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack methods, and defense practices, with a keen interest in continuous learning in these areas.
- Awareness of enterprise security strategies and governance.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and regulatory compliance from NIST, CIS, and CTPAT.
