Job Requirements / Description

SCOPE:

This opportunity will support efforts to ensure customer requirements are met and improve quality of products and processes throughout the organization by performing inspections. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective, permanent and systemic solutions in support of the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, maintains, and generates CMM programs used to inspect and verify production
  • Perform product inspections in accordance to drawings, routings and customer requirements.
  • Measures, tests, and monitors product and process quality.
  • Assists in Developing, maintaining IM Keyence programs
  • Create Certificates of Conformance / Cert Packages
  • Safeguards our customers from receiving poor quality product.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requirements include the lifting / moving up to and including 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, climbing are all required motions of the job.


TRAINING/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), or CMM Manager Software
  • Knowledge using Keyence IM software
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting internal and customer drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance requirements.
  • Knowledge using various inspection tools and devices such as micrometers, optical comparators, depth gauges, calipers etc.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required for this position.
  • Strong computer skills such as excel, email, adobe, and ability to navigate databases/folders


Secondary Functions:

  • Observes all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards.
  • Receives daily direction and support from Quality Manager/Engineer.
  • Performs all work in accordance with acceptable AS9100 quality standards.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format/form.
  • Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean in concert with 5S requirements.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple teams/departments
