You will play a critical role in guiding and driving the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. By guiding and driving the mechanical design process, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is responsible for providing technical expertise as a program team leader in identifying and developing new E&PS productsLeading proposals to address future business opportunities, value engineering, and program/process changesActing as critical focal point for driving and implementing COE goals and objectivesRecognized by business management as a primary mechanical design technical authorityMentoring global teams and early career engineersDeveloping new business and product strategy; defining program plans and product architecture.Building strategy around process/product improvements or new tools developmentU.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering from an accredited university12+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in gas turbine engines installations & externals design, including additive manufacturing, plumbing systems, wiring harnesses, brackets & mounts, component integration, fire suppression & detection and installation kits10+ years of experience in mechanical design with NX or CAD design tool including modeling, drafting, DMU management, layouts and design proposalsProven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects with experience leading design teamsExperience in Conceptual Design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design phasesExperience with supplier engagement, and support to phase 6+ programsAbility to lead and mentor engineers as a subject matter expertWE VALUEMaster’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering from an accredited universityAbility to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audienceIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by eventsAbility to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness#LI-Hybrid#LIMM1Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
