Job Responsibilities
- Manages the Storage Area Network that provides hard disk space to the servers via the network.
- Maintains and monitors Storage Area Network usage to ensure necessary capacity is available.
- Manages and maintains data backup infrastructure to provide reliable restore capabilities to data owners.
- Develop and maintain tools and automation for storage and backup environment.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
- Follow legal policies as directed.
- Formulate plans for capacity planning and technology forecasting.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Job Requirements
- Experience implementing and supporting new technologies and understanding of associated business implications with a basic amount of supervision.
- Ability to execute multiple projects/tasks & deadlines effectively without supervision.
- Minimum of 8 years current experience supporting Windows & Linux storage subsystem components in mission critical production environments.
- Experience with Windows CIFS/SMB protocols, SMB file locks, DFS namespace, NTFS 4+ & FS security.
- Experience with *nix administration, NFS protocol, Multipath, file uploading/downloading, FS security.
- Expert knowledge of storage system management tools and software.
- Experience with storage system performance analysis troubleshooting & resolution of complex problems.
- Experience with backup/restore and archiving of data in a large environment, including both disk and tape backups and restores.
- Demonstrate understanding of relationship storage systems have with associated business processes.
- Ability to understand and write scripts in Shell, Python, and/or Perl.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience with reporting and alerting software like Nagios/Icinga or similar, Grafana/Prometheus/Graphite or similar.
- Experience with provisioning SAN and NAS storage on Linux and Windows.
- Broad troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with developing APIs to communicate with storage and backup systems.
- Experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes preferred.

- SAN: Pure FlashArray
- Fibre Channel: Brocade Switches
- Data Protection: Rubrik, Netbackup, Quantum Tape Libraries
- Automation: Python, Django, Rest API, Ansible
- SAN/NAS: Data migration experience
Education
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Any certification related to above technologies.
Base Pay Range:
$110,000 - $135,000 per year
