Water Resources Graduate Engineer
Location: Englewood, CO
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience)
The Water Resources Graduate Engineer will be responsible for acquiring and applying knowledge in hydrologic analysis and hydraulic computations to support various design projects, ranging from small to large-scale. These projects encompass due diligence, master planning, residential, commercial, and public/private infrastructure. Duties will entail conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, preparing reports, and coordinating with stakeholders on construction plan sheets for storm water infrastructure. The ideal candidate will engage with municipal and governmental bodies to secure approvals for project submissions. We seek an engineer with a keen interest in water resources engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and gather relevant data
- Develop hydrologic assessments to delineate drainage patterns and quantify runoff
- Prepare hydraulic assessments to support recommendations for storm drain infrastructure, focusing on flood protection
- Compile comprehensive reports documenting data sources, assumptions, assessments, results, and recommendations
- Assist in creating schematic exhibits, calculating quantities, and verifying the accuracy of work
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support the Water Resources team
- Demonstrated eagerness to embrace new challenges and responsibilities
- Proficiency in communicating project status and addressing design challenges
- Ability to follow general direction and work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Desire to acquire extensive civil engineering knowledge while specializing in water resources
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training to familiarize oneself with the firm's policies, practices, standards, and relevant regulations
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience; or
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with no prior experience required
- Familiarity with software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, WSPG, HY8, AutoCAD, or GIS is advantageous but not mandatory
- EIT certification is preferred but not mandatory
