What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Data-Driven Insights: Extend our platform and reporting tools to enable publishers to connect with and derive insights from multiple data sources. You’ll use cutting-edge technologies like React, Typescript, and Node, all within an AWS environment.
  • Contribute Across the Codebase: Engage in projects that span large volumes of code with multiple branches, adhering to formal integration procedures and rigorous test cycles.
  • Lead with Best Practices: Promote software engineering best practices and technical excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and by staying current with the latest industry trends.
  • Own Your Projects: Demonstrate full ownership of projects and initiatives, driving them from concept to completion with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Passion for Clean Code: You write code that is not only functional but also clean, readable, and maintainable, sparing your teammates the dreaded sighs during code reviews.
  • Impactful in 100 Days: You’re eager to make an immediate impact, contributing meaningful pull requests (PRs) within your first 100 days.
  • Strategic Thinker: You can articulate the reasoning behind your technical decisions, always considering THE WHY when working through solutions.
  • DevOps Mindset: You approach projects with a DevOps lens, focusing on building robust, scalable solutions.
  • Web Development Skills: Proficiency in modern web development technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS, and web components.
  • Front-End Expertise: Professional experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks like React (preferred), Redux, Vue, etc., including component libraries like Material UI (MUI).
  • API Proficiency: Experience in both consuming and producing REST APIs, ensuring seamless communication between services.
  • Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of OLTP, OLAP, and NoSQL databases, allowing you to select the right tools for the job.
  • Multi-Language Proficiency: Expertise in multiple programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, Java, Python, Rust, and SQL enabling you to work across different parts of the stack.
  • Cloud Computing Proficiency: You have an understanding of how to leverage cloud infrastructure to build scalable, resilient applications, and you're comfortable navigating its ecosystem. AWS is our platform, but we believe these skills transcend the vendor and experience in competitor technology is applicable.
