Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with wells team, production and reservoir engineering teams.
  2. To manage, interpret, and integrate data related to performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of well performance, and reservoir management.
  3. To write reports on investigations/findings in accordance with the scope and send for review.
  4. Compliance check on reports in accordance with the scope and approve.
  5. Database management using SharePoint and other Document Control Databases.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from a recognized university in petroleum or chemical engineering with minimum GPA and above.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis for Conventional/ Unconventional Reservoirs.
  • Experience in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of well performance and reservoir management.
  • Experience in reservoir surveillance, analysis, wells testing, and report writing.
  • Knowledge of basic reservoir engineering concepts including: Key reservoir/fluid characterization properties such as porosity, permeability, saturation, wettability, capillary pressure and PVT.
  • Reservoir Exploitation techniques: Basic well design and completion/stimulation technologies.
  • Depletion planning and resource migration for primary, secondary and enhanced recovery mechanisms.
  • Various artificial lift methods and systems.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python will be an advantage.
  • Experience working in Tableau and Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience with Engineering Applications such as IPM, Kappa, Prosper, Eclipse, and Ecrin (Saphir) will be an advantage.
  • Able to work in shift hours.

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to Wells Engineering and Oil & Gas upstream facilities engineering activities.
  • Experience with SharePoint for document management.
  • Good written and communication skills.
