Sr. Proposals Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Proposals Engineer with a background in chemical engineering to join our clients dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals for large industrial projects with values exceeding $100M. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of success in developing winning proposals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of technical and commercial proposals for large-scale industrial projects, including feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, project managers, estimators, and finance professionals, to gather technical and commercial inputs and develop comprehensive proposals that meet client requirements and objectives.
• Conduct thorough technical evaluations of project requirements, scope, and specifications, identifying potential challenges, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX), utilizing industry-standard estimating tools and methodologies.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource requirements in coordination with project management and engineering teams.
• Prepare and present proposals to clients, providing technical explanations, clarifications, and justifications as needed to secure project awards.
• Manage the proposal review process, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to refine proposal content and improve competitiveness.
• Coordinate with procurement, legal, and commercial teams to address contractual and commercial aspects of proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of proposal activities, including tracking proposal status, milestones, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience writing proposals for large scale industrial projects.
• Deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, unit operations, and process design.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and winning proposals for large-scale industrial projects with values exceeding $100M.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical and commercial information to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations governing industrial project proposals is a plus.
