Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for both capital projects and continuous improvement projects of the plant. Will direct all aspects of special & capital projects, identify opportunities to increase productivity & cost reduction; interact with contractors, vendors & suppliers. Requires a 4-year degree in Engineering (ME or EE preferred) and 2+ years of successful project management experience. The ideal candidate will also have 2-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant. Excellent planning and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative & flexibility are a must. The position requires good problem-solving, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to define performance measures & hold others accountable for the same. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MSDS & GMPs. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Auto-Cad & Access. The Project Engineer will report to the Operations Manager and is an excellent position for growth. This position can have 1-2 engineering interns and 1 salaried engineer as direct reports.
All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. Must be able to work swing shift and graveyard. Overtime will be required, as necessary, including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24-hour, 7-day/week basis.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
• BS degree in Engineering, related field
• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge and experience of LEAN tools and A3s.
• Demonstrated ability to create and sustain change.
• Demonstrated ability to engage a workforce.
• Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range: ((93,000)) - ((123,000))
