Job Requirements / Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates project information flow.
  • Establishes and maintains office organization.
  • Reviews and tracks RFIs and submittals at Owner and Contractor level.
  • Reads and understands construction plans and specifications.
  • Prepares the details of work to be performed.
  • Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, field crews, and clients.
  • Ensures all plans, specs, and submittals are accurate with matching information.
  • Studies job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Assists Construction Managers with change management; issue letters, PCO, COR, and PCCO.
  • Creates and tracks RFIs, updating plans and details for the field.
  • Generates detailed and conceptual cost estimates and change orders.
  • Tracks all change orders via delay, issue, and change order logs.
  • Assists Construction Managers with field management.
  • Updates project schedule in conjunction with the Construction Manager and General Contractors.
  • Monitors General Contractor and Subcontractor performance and verifies quality of work.
  • Performs value engineering and practicality of plans.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Understand and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Layout, surveying, scheduling, drawings, and construction sequence
  • Business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Interpret oral and written instructions and directions from supervising Superintendent/PM
  • Proficient in MSWord, Excel, Outlook, CM software, Microsoft project, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Assist, plan and/or create accurate construction estimates and schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with culturally and ethnically diverse workforce, architects, owners, etc. Foster and develop relationships.
  • Analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop and implement sound courses of action that minimize risk to the company.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, change priorities, and handle stress to meet deadlines.
  • Superior oral and writing presentation skills.
  • Represent the company and its interests in a professional and conscientious manner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Physically be able to climb, walk, stand, stoop, and crouch for extended period time.
  • Active listening skills
