Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and project objectives. The Project Engineer will collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions and deliver high-quality designs within budget and schedule constraints. This role will primarily focus on the technical aspects of projects, working closely with the Project Manager to develop design concepts that are incorporated into the final product by staff designers.
Typical Duties:
- Participate in the study & report, preliminary design, final design, bidding, and construction phases of selected projects.
- Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental assessments to inform design decisions.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software to create accurate engineering drawings and models.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications throughout the design process.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements and optimizations.
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and construction schedules to support project planning and budgeting.
- Prepare change orders, review pay applications, and prepare construction close-out documents.
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
