Automation Engineer

Position Overview:
The Automation Engineer position requires expertise in automation, scripting languages, API integration, and database querying. The role involves working with various scripting languages like Python and PowerShell, understanding API services, databases, Windows, Linux, and Unix environments. The engineer should be skilled in writing scripts, creating queries, and testing the entire development cycle.
Key Responsibilities:

• Scripting Skills: The candidate should have proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, enabling them to automate tasks efficiently.
• API Integration: The engineer must understand API services and effectively integrate them into automation processes.
• Database Queries: Ability to write and execute queries to interact with databases is essential.
• Windows and Unix Expertise: Familiarity with both Windows and Unix environments, including PowerShell commands and shell scripting, is required.
• Documentation: The engineer should meticulously document scripts, outputs, and plans, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the development process.
• Testing and Lifecycle Management: Expertise in testing automation scripts, managing the development lifecycle, and collaborating with teams for thorough testing and deployment.
• Cloud Knowledge: The engineer will work towards understanding cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Microsoft Azure as the company transitions to the cloud.

Nice-to-Have:

• CyberArk Experience: Although not mandatory, prior experience with CyberArk is advantageous, as it involves privileged access management.
• Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with other security tools like Keycloak may offer transferable skills, as core scripting and automation skills are similar across various tools.
