PHP Developer - Chattanooga, TN
Salary: $70k- $90k Base plus Full Benefits
Schedule: On Site, Monday-Friday
Position Overview: As a Level 3 PHP Develop, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our web-based software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP development, a strong understanding of SQL databases, and proficiency in working with frameworks such as Phalcon or similar technologies. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and quality assurance to develop scalable and maintainable web-based software solutions.
2. Design and implement robust PHP code to meet project requirements and industry best practices.
3. Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval using SQL databases.
4. Utilize frameworks such as Phalcon or similar technologies to accelerate development and enhance code maintainability.
5. Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing or production and implement timely and effective solutions.
6. Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in web development, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
7. Collaborate with DevOps team to deploy and maintain applications on remote servers, such as DigitalOcean.
8. Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship activities to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and best practices.
2. Proficiency in SQL database design, optimization, and querying.
3. Experience working with PHP frameworks such as Phalcon, Laravel, Symfony, or similar technologies.
4. Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
5. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
