Description

As the Manager of Diagnostics and Repair Architecture team, you will lead a team responsible for developing innovative diagnostics and repair solutions that support field repair technicians and enhance the Apple customer ownership experience. Building and nurturing partnerships with cross-functional teams both within and outside of AppleCare is key to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, disciplined, and driven to succeed in a challenging environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years in software development, with at least 6 years in a software organization management role.
  • Deep understanding of computer hardware and software architecture.
  • Proven track record of driving technical innovation.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify design and engineering impacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, grow, and mentor strong teams.
  • A solution-oriented work ethic with a high degree of flexibility in supporting multiple projects with a range of complexity and priority.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and adeptness at fostering positive team dynamics.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit to build strong relationships with other engineering teams and follow up on technical issues.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields of study with 10 years of overall experience in the industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing or repair operations flows.
  • Ability to dive deep technically and understand the nuances of Apple products and systems.
  • Experience with large-scale systems design, hardware diagnostics, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with machine learning platforms and data science workflows.
