We are currently working in partnership with a global chemical manufacturer based near Akron, OH who are looking for a Process Control Engineer to join the team. As a Process Control Engineer, you will design, maintain and modify the process control and safety systems using in chemical production processes.
To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing or chemical process environment. You will also have experience with variable frequency drives, PLC and HMI programming, DCS.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in their field. Basic salary is range is between $115,000 - $130,000 dependant on experience. Other benefits will be included, as well as relocation assistance if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support 24/7 operations regarding safety and process control systems, process instrumentation, DCS and PLCs
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities on control and electrical systems
- Support internal departments on yield improvement and efficiency improvement projects
- Manage installation and startup of instrumentation and automation projects, including capital projects.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience working in an industrial or chemical process environment
- Experience with variable frequency drives, PLC programming and HMI Programming
- Experience with Process instrumentation in an industrial environment
- Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs and electrical drawings
