Supplier Quality Engineer

Acara Solutions is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Burbank CA

• Interface with both suppliers and customers regarding supplier nonconformance
• Manage OEM customer returns for supplied parts which are custom designed for
• Liaise with Special Process (OSP) suppliers regarding defects and conduct onsite assessments with NADCAP checklist when necessary
• Partner with Supply Chain Director and other leadership team members to determine annual supplier quality objectives
• Lead supplier Quarterly Business Reviews by supporting the Supply Chain team in assessing supplier performance, monitoring corrective action status, and driving supplier to continuous improvement
• Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to assure that quality issues are addressed, and corrective actions are in place and being properly managed to assure root cause analysis and corrective action reporting
• Conduct onsite assessments of suppliers' quality system and process control capability, and drive implementation of improvement plans
• Train and work with suppliers to develop quality control plans for assigned commodities and drive implementation
• Conduct first article and first batch audit inspections

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 4 yrs. minimum experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• ASQC certifications and knowledge of SPC
• Previous experience working in regulated environment with a preference of FAA CFR 14 part 21 and part 145
• Lean/Six Sigma certification (black belt or green belt)
