Role Overview
CHAOS is seeking a skilled and motivated Frontend Software Engineer to join our team. This is a highly-collaborative role which will allow you to wear multiple hats and work very closely with our product. As a member of our engineering team, you also have the opportunity to expand your skillset across our product line.
Responsibilities
- Build great UI/UX to support our customers' urgent missions
- Work with Product, Design, our Field Engineers, and other software engineers to create beautiful and performant products
- Support CHAOS' product build, assembly, and testing
- Work with the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware (e.g., computers, switches, Software-Defined Radios, etc.)
- Build scripts for automated deployment and test verification
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience coding with Typescript, React, and Python
- Familiarity with Agile lifecycle processes including Scrum and Continuous Integration
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams
- U.S. Person status as this position will require the ability to access U.S.-only data systems
Preferred Requirements
- Experience doing fullstack development, ideally with Python frameworks like Flask or FastAPI
- Experience with MaterialUI or other similar design systems
- Development experience in Ground or Airborne Sensors (Radars, EO/IR, EW, etc.)
- GPU-accelerated signal processing

Salary range: $100k-$150k/year
The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
