Description
DSFederal, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support an agency health care program. This is a contingent position.
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you'll be supporting the cloud-based operations, crafting robust systems utilizing automation, CI/CD, and tools like Jenkins in the AWS environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC principles with tools like AWS CloudFormation.
- Automate provisioning and deployment processes to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to facilitate efficient and automated software delivery.
- Optimize and enhance existing CI/CD workflows for speed and reliability.
- Architect, deploy, and manage AWS environments, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve AWS-related issues.
- Set up and configure monitoring and logging solutions in AWS for proactive issue identification.
- Implement strategies to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Implement and enforce security best practices in the AWS environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in an AWS environment.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- AWS: Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS environments.
- Jenkins: Expertise in configuring and maintaining Jenkins for CI/CD workflows.
- IaC: Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with hands-on experience using tools like AWS CloudFormation.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ruby.
- Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with development and operations teams.
- Bachelor's Degree
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- AWS certifications ( e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a big plus.
