One of our direct clients is urgently looking for a Data Engineer @ Sunnyvale CA .

TITLE: Data Engineer
LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA
DURATION: 6 to 12+ Months

Client Note:

1. Experience building and maintaining large scale data pipelines in online advertising, recommender system, search, e-commerce or relevant areas.
2. Experience building and/or maintaining machine learning models and pipelines.

Description:

Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop ecosystem based applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

Experience/Skills

Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years experience in computer programming, software development or related.
2. 3+ years of solid Java and 2+ years experience in design, implementation, and support of big data solutions in Hadoop using Hive, Spark, HBase.
3. Hands-on experience with Streaming technologies like Kafka.
4. Hands-on experience with writing SQL queries.
5. Hands-on experience with NoSQL DB and one relational DB like Oracle/MySQL/MSSQL.
6. Have working knowledge of building solutions on cloud - Azure/GCP.
7. Hands-on experience with Cloud Native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
8. Hands-on experience with Git/Maven, Jenkins.
9. Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to have:

1. Experience with Big Query.
2. Experience with Unix, Shell Scripting, Python.
3. Knowledge on Google Looker or similar reporting tool.
