Job Overview We have an opportunity for a SQL Database Administrator to join our global IT team. This role is working onsite at our corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL (near O\'Hare) or Milwaukee, WI (Harbor District). Key Job Responsibilities Support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems in on-premise, Azure IaaS, and PaaS environments. Ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. Collaborate with other IT teams such as network, security, architecture, and application teams to design and implement database solutions that ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance. Configure Azure Data Factory including monitoring and optimizing ETL workflows for pipelines, and transitioning SSIS packages to Azure Data Factory (ADF). Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Follow change management process for all production changes. Participate in on call rotation if needed. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science, a related major or equivalent experience. Associate degree with experience may be considered. 4+ years as a database administrator with SQL Server 2016 and newer. Experience using native and 3rd party monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Proficient in performance tuning for MS SQL Server, with expertise in ensuring data integrity, managing data retention, conducting data analysis, optimizing data input/output processes, and enhancing SQL code performance efficiency.
