We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented full stack developer to join our team at Grocery Data Tech. The successful candidate will be comfortable in operating an ambiguous space with strong technical ability, project management skills, and background in building products both on the backend and frontend. You should be innovative, have effective engineering leadership and communication skills, and be team oriented. The development will be from the concept stage to the launch stage and ensuring the highest level of quality for your team's deliverables.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement features and services to automate our org flows.
- Work with other teams to investigate and document design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Ensure the performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Help maintain code quality and operational efficiency.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Promote robust, maintainable code and clear documentation.
- Be comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadership and never shy away from a challenge.
A day in the life
You'll write code, as well as work on technical designs and architecture. We prioritize writing high quality and maintainable code and build systems that leverage existing tools to provide extensive support for our org necessities.
About The Team
The team builds serverless web applications and apis primarily in Python and React/Typescript and we have a couple of integrations written in Java. You will be a part of an agile development team following innovative best practices in bi-weekly scrums. We have 90% coverage on our code, full CI/CD and a very small operational load.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- 2+ years of full stack development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 2+ years of React experience.
- 2+ years of Python and/or Java experience.
- Experience in AWS Services like Dynamo, Lambdas, S3, Athena, Kinesis, Glue, TimeStream.
