Senior Mission Systems Engineer

Description

We are seeking a Senior Mission Systems Engineer with NRO experience to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a Government Intelligence Community customer. This role involves supporting a System Program Office in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions to advance space resiliency posture. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative team environment supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, and transition activities to address complex space community problems.

Responsibilities may include:

• Performing analysis and evaluations of systems and tracking resulting metrics
• Studying and analyzing complex problems
• Assessing current and future technologies for insertion
• Evaluating enterprise verification and validation testing
• Reviewing and analyzing discrepancy reports
• Assessing labor, schedules, and resources required for system integration, testing, validation, and transition
• Capturing and documenting lessons learned and best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Engineering analysis or mission/ops/ground support experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills
• Strong written and interpersonal skills
• Modeling and simulation experience using one or more of the following: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment
