This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data in driving product innovation. The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in the product development team by managing and analyzing data that informs product design and problem-solving. This position involves utilizing software tools to address product-related challenges. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Data Scientist will present findings and insights to engineering teams, management, and product stakeholders. The Data Scientist is also expected to continually develop skills, analysis tools, and work practices that align with the organization’s objectives.


Principal Duties (as Related To Functional Responsibilities)

  1. Maintain a thorough understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical models, and software tools relevant to chiller and heat pump product development and performance evaluation.
  2. Maintain understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles and processes related to fluid, thermal, and other technical aspects of chillers and heat pumps.
  3. Contribute to the on-time completion of programs and regularly report on the status of projects.
  4. Design and implement data-driven solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
  5. Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to utilize existing data to inform product development with the best balance of cost, performance, reliability, and project schedule.
  6. Coordinate and help execute test programs and data analysis to validate performance and reliability of product systems and components.
  7. Analyze, model, and troubleshoot product, sub-component, and sub-system data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  8. Generate and review technical documentation for knowledge sharing and training within the product team.
  9. Occasional domestic and international travel (less than 10%).

Requirements

  1. BS in Engineering, Data Science, or related science.
  2. Minimum 7 Years Of Experience In a Related Field.
  3. Proficient with organizing, processing, and analyzing large datasets.
  4. Experience with product development, project management, and configurable systems.
  5. Ability to mentor and train other engineers.
