About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for an engineer or skilled technician with a strong foundation in industrial automation who is ready to take on increasing responsibilities. You'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and grow quickly towards leadership roles if desired, or stay more hands on applying your technical skills while developing your project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and motion control platforms
- Develop and optimize automation programs for industrial processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration, including machine vision and safety PLCs
- Participate in all project phases from concept to commissioning, with increasing project management responsibilities
- Create and modify electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD
- Troubleshoot complex automation issues and implement effective solutions
- Contribute to documentation efforts, including technical specifications and user manuals
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in industrial automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field preferred, with 3-7 years of industrial automation experience
- Expertise in PLC programming (especially Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), HMI development, and industrial communication protocols
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and 3D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor)
- Strong background in motion control systems, machine vision, and safety PLCs
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems; fluid power systems is a big plus
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and industrial safety standards preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Automation Tech Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year
- Automation Engineer Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 per year
