We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our technical team and drive our Cloud centric DevOps initiatives, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Compliance as Code practices. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background combined with proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Hands-on keyboard leader of a team of 9 Cloud DevOps Engineers and Linux/Windows SysAdmins
  2. Provide technical leadership for automation projects and mentor in industry best practices
  3. Develop, test, and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Compliance as Code in our Cloud environments
  4. Implement self-service tooling for operations teams to enhance operational effectiveness of infrastructure and services
  5. Drive initiatives to implement self-diagnosing and healing of infrastructure and services
  6. Develop tooling and improve processes to automate monitoring, metrics collection and analysis
  7. Coordinate workloads and priorities of your team against internal and external solutioning requests
  8. Work with internal and external groups to establish priorities and schedules
  9. Ensure documentation of solutions with all details required for implementation
  10. Produce documentation suitable for internal and customer facing presentations
  11. Handle multiple work streams across multiple engagements
  12. Manage team resources across matrixed cloud managed service environments
  13. Current Tier 5 (T5) background investigation or must obtain within three months of start
  14. Certifications: Current Security+ and Linux (e.g., Linux+, RHSCA) or obtain within three months of start
  15. 5+ years’ experience providing technical leadership and people management of a DevOps or agile development team of five or more
  16. Experience using DISA STIG compliance tooling
  17. Experience with implementation & maturation of security controls against industry-recognized security frameworks & standards such as NIST 800-53
  18. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of technical solutions leveraging cloud services and features
  19. Experience developing Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
  20. Strong working knowledge of AWS Cloud, prefer AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect Associate
  21. Expert in Linux troubleshooting and log file forensics
  22. Expert with Shell Scripting (Bash, Korn, C)
  23. Expert developing and implementing solutions using Python
  24. Experience using testing frameworks like Pytest for Python or Junit for Java
  25. Experience using and developing Ansible for enterprise configuration management and automation
  26. Experience using Git and Git workflows including tagging, branching, and integration with other tools such as Jira
  27. Able to debug and resolve complex issues in cloud environments
  28. Security and detail-oriented methodology
  29. Demonstrable experience in Enterprise-level environments
  30. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  31. Ability to multitask across projects
  32. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Education:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. The targeted combined range for this position is 159900 - 271900(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
