Industrial Refrigeration Marketing & Application Engineer

The Industrial Refrigeration Marketing & Application Engineer position is responsible for providing first-class customer service, technical support for our sales representative force, quotations, sales presentations, and customer entertainment. The position will involve constant interaction with both customers and sales representatives.
The successful candidate must possess highly effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with other Industrial Refrigeration Marketing Team members and EVAPCO's Independent Sales Representative network. The Industrial Refrigeration Marketing Team interfaces with all other departments within the company, sales offices throughout North America, and directly with customers.
The position involves developing sales and marketing tools, offering product application support and pricing assistance for Condensers (Evaporative, Adiabatic, and Air Cooled), Evaporators, and Custom Tube & Fin Coil Requirements serving the Food & Beverage, Ice Rink, and other Industrial Refrigeration markets.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide timely and accurate responses to representative sales force.
• Give technical sales presentations to customers.
• Check orders and submittals for accuracy.
• Provide timely quotations.
• Participate in industry related trade associations.
• Create marketing brochures, engineering bulletins, and technical white papers.
• Research industry and provide comparative analysis on other forms of technology.
• Evaluate project specifications, product schedules and design drawings.
• Test unit selection software during updates.
• Travel to North American IR representative offices and customers.
• Host Factory Visits and Participate in Customer Entertainment Activities
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical with coursework in Thermodynamics.
• The incumbent must have the ability to communicate professionally & effectively and build relationships with both the internal EVAPCO team and our outside sales force. The Marketing team represents EVAPCO to the outside sales force and customers.
• The preferred candidate will have 2-5 years of application engineering or sales experience in the Industrial Refrigeration field, but college graduates seeking an entry level position will be considered.
Reporting structure:
• The candidate will report to an Applications and Marketing Manager at Evapco Inc.
• Number of direct reports - None
• Marketing department size - 10-15
• Peers - Application & Marketing Engineers, Regional Sales Managers
Location:
• Position will be based in Taneytown, MD
• Candidate should expect travel 10-15% of the time to various conferences, customer locations, job sites, and manufacturing facilities.
