Job Requirements / Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create testing and automation plan, estimates, and project plan for software QA
- Work with product owners to plan and create test cases and scenarios
- Guide, coach, and mentor junior QA engineers
- Provide project management and technical leadership for relevant part of the software development lifecycle
- Setup QA/Test processes, release criteria, and ensure adherence
- Automate test cases, improve code coverage, and help us choose the right tools
- Write tools to automate processes
- Work with product owners, dev ops, and software engineers to create a continuous delivery process
- Create relevant documentation to help capture decisions, like why a specific solution was used and what alternatives were rejected
- Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
- Work closely with engineers, testers, and product management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products
- Learn and display knowledge of how projects and products would add value to the business
- Conduct top quality design and code QA attaining business quality goals
- Collaborate with technical operations to update and deploy projects
- Evaluate projects, develop, and update schedules plus supervise project status
- Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings
- Minimum of ten years' experience in software testing and QA
- Demonstrated success building and launching excellent products
- Competency in Scrum or other agile and iterative processes
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven analytical skills to solve complex problems by manipulating and utilizing business data
- Able to deliver effective documentation
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, high-intensity, deadline-oriented work environment
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills required to document and communicate with internal and external resources
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail required to ensure accuracy and effective execution of all projects and tasks undertaken
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with multiple departments
