Position Overview:
This position has opened due to an increased demand for custom software script development, specifically for prototype hardware. You will contribute to the success of a major project by developing Python scripts to support a variety of instrument ecosystems and managing related code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Python scripts for a variety of prototype instrument hardware systems.
- Oversee other script developers, performing code reviews and ensuring quality.
- Maintain and manage Python code using best practices, including environment setup, version control, and documentation.
- Create scripts that facilitate specification document creation and update input parameter sheets as necessary.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on code usage and best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in Python code development and management.
- Experience in a fast-paced corporate environment, with demonstrated success in similar roles.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (BS/BA minimum).
- Strong skills in Python development, version control, and environment management.
- Advanced data collection a plus (Python, Shell/Batch, R, etc.)
