OSP Engineer

Position: OSP Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (On-site 8 days per month, 1-2 days per week)

Job Overview : This role is responsible for supporting the Make Ready function , particularly with pole work. The OSP Engineer will handle engineering work orders (EWO) and collaborate across multiple workgroups and turfs.

Must-Have Skills:

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.

Desired Skills:

• Strong background in Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering.
• Ability to review and understand Engineering Work Orders (EWO).
• Experience in project management across various work groups and regions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for inter-organizational and customer communications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, often conflicting, priorities.
• Experience making independent decisions based on company policies, practices, and project requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Duties:

• Utilize current and evolving technologies to accomplish work assignments.
• Use personal computers and/or paper records to gather and obtain relevant information.
• Utilize automated design programs and computerized drafting tools as needed.
• Interface with various organizations throughout the provisioning process.
• Apply OSP Protocol methods and procedures, along with multiple databases, to complete designs.
• Track and monitor the progress to ensure timely completion of engineering work orders.
• Employ cost-effective methods in your work.
• Spend part of the day in the office environment as necessary.
