Graphic Database Specialist (Neo4j) | Hybrid

Optomi, in partnership with a global law firm, is seeking a Graphic Database Specialist to join their dynamic and growing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining graph databases, focusing on optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity.


What the right candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in database development, with a focus on graph databases, preferably Neo4j.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Cypher query language and Neo4j administration.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design for graph databases.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with other graph databases or data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts as applied to graph data.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and deployments related to Neo4j.


Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Design and model graph databases using Neo4j to effectively represent complex relationships in data.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into Neo4j.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of graph queries and database operations.
  • Write and optimize Cypher queries for data retrieval and manipulation, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and product managers, to understand requirements and provide data solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, queries, and processes to support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Provide training and support to team members on best practices for using Neo4j and graph databases.
