We are seeking an experienced and versatile Engineer to support New Product Introduction and Process Engineering with our team in Franklin MA. Our team supplies airborne molecular contamination filters to the semiconductor market. Our technology utilizes active carbon and resin-based filters to enable the latest chip technology and its applications. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful scaleup of products/processes from Development to Manufacturing utilizing a Stage-Gate Process as well as support day-to-day process sustainment and improvements.
- You will use your skills/experience to positively influence process development for manufacturability while ensuring the highest levels of quality. Achieving this goal will require the use of collaboration, influence, and interpersonal skills to interface with all functions across the organization.
- The NPI Engineer will work closely with the New Product Development to drive and execute improvements/solutions to help the team meet the product design and customer requirements and stage gate commitments all while keeping focus on safety and quality.
- The NPI Engineer will work with the Production/Operations team to ensure Manufacturing Readiness of the new product/process portfolio. You will engage with Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians to drive the successful transition of products from early development to product/process release.

In this role you will:
- Serve as a core team member for assigned NPI Projects as the liaison between Development Engineering and Operations, pulling products to market.
- Work closely with Development Engineering to proactively influence product and process design for efficient, quality driven , safe manufacturability.
- Assist in maintaining BOM's, routings, process engineering change orders.
- Improve maturity of process data collection and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency
- Drive weekly SPC reviews on critical processes.
- Develop Manufacturing Assessments for assigned projects. Topics include selection of manufacturing equipment, raw and finished goods material planning, chemical or material waste plan, ramp/capacity planning, cost roadmap, etc.
- Drive Improvement Projects (yield, process capability, etc.) to maximize Gross Margin and Predictability.
- Prepare Process Documentation to support Product Launch and or Manufacturing.
- Manage customer samples and Product Qualification builds. Work with the Operations team to provide special instructions as required.
- Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
- Use analyses and process audits to make recommendations on such items as safety, quality, cost, waste reductions, and efficiency.

- Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Strong technical skills to help improve processes and to identify any gaps and the ability to work with subject experts to resolve. This could include Welding , fabrication , wiring , software, electro-mechanical design.
- Experience with non-woven materials and continuous run lamination processes
- Ability to orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once to accomplish Division goals.
- Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Manufacturing projects and implementation.
- Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 4+ years' hands-on experience preferred
