Job Overview:
As a Field Engineer, you will coordinate manpower, manage on-site materials, logistics, tools, and rental equipment, and assist with field workers' certification management. Your responsibilities will include ensuring quality assurance and quality control documentation, managing field training, and maintaining the most current project documents. You'll coordinate with subcontractors, assist with daily activities, and participate in project scheduling meetings. Additionally, you will handle safety documentation, material takeoffs, change management, and creating and managing production goals for field staff. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the seamless operation of our field activities and project success.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:
  • Coordinating manpower and performing on-boarding and offloading of manpower on project sites
  • Assist with field workers certification management
  • Manage on-site material, logistics, tools and rental equipment
  • Assist with QA/QC document management
  • Contacts AHJ for installation inspections (as required by GC)
  • Assists with field required commissioning meetings and documentation
  • Coordinates with subcontractor's field personnel
  • Schedules and renews Underground Service Alert tickets and provides OSHA notifications as required
  • Coordinates material releases with Project Engineer
  • Complete required prefabrication documentation
  • Coordinates field training
  • Ensures most current project documents (drawings, submittals, RFI's, etc.) are available (uploaded to ACC Build)
  • Reviews and understands project specific requirements
  • Assist foreman with daily activities and responsibilities
  • Assist with RFI creation and management
  • Completes Daily reports with input from project team as needed
  • Participates in all project scheduling meetings
  • Participates in the required 10-5-2-1 documentation and notification
  • Ensures all required safety documentation is completed
  • Enters time for field workers
  • Assists with the completion of project as-builts
  • Completes material takeoffs
  • Assists with change management
  • Create and manage production goals for field staff

Compensation:
Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill level.
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to environmental conditions inside and outside: inclement weather, cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals. May be required to function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas of close proximity. Occasionally required to work on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Required Excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to be a team player and detail oriented are preferred
  • Required Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Preferred experience in Construction Management or Field
  • Preferred knowledge of electrical systems and their components
  • Preferred Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications

  • Constantly required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
  • Required to have near and far sited visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to inspect small parts, operating tools, using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication parts. Must also be able to visually identify and read posted signs, instructions, and identify possible hazards
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work.
