Position Description:This is a contract role for an agency Fastening Engineer. The Fastening Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing fastening solutions for automotive components. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, and ensuring the quality and reliability of fastening systems in vehicle assembly.Skills Required:• Experience in fastening technologies, joining methods, materials, fastener design, testing, and implementation • Knowledge of automotive engineering principles and materials • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work on-site in Dearborn, MI • Travel required - outside of SE MichiganSkills Preferred:• Self-starting, self-motivated with very good influential, organizational, and communication skills • Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle technical aspects of the position • Familiarity with statistical software: Minitab, Q-DASExperience Required:• 2 or more years experience in Manufacturing EngineeringEducation Required:• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldAdditional Information :The position will be Hybrid. Mainly in the Dearborn area but will require work in our plants across North America. (travel required).
