Description & Qualifications
Senior Software QA Engineer, UKG Inc., Weston, FL (Remote)
In this position you will design, develop, and implement automated cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development for UKG’s Human Capital Management (HCM) Software as a Service (SaaS) enterprise software product suites. You will be responsible for the development of, modification to, and execution of software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing. Specific duties will include:
- Debugging software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for go-to-market HCM products on the web and the cloud.
- Defining test strategies and designing, developing, and executing automation solutions and code for testing utilizing data to drive decisions.
- Supporting design, development, and testing of an enterprise availability and supportability platform.
- Developing, writing, and reviewing product lifecycle deliverables, including product backlog, requirements specifications, sprint plans, risk analyses and traceability documentation.
- Developing and executing software test strategies and perform functional black box and white box, GUI, integration, system, and regression tests.
- Maintaining and improving continuous integration and testing environments.
- Implementing test automation for the next generation SaaS Application in a fast-paced, agile environment, using Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Deployment concepts.
- Transforming manual test documentation into robust, efficient automated test scripts and increasing automation coverage.
- Adhering to and promoting standards for test development Agile practices such as Kanban and Scrum.
- Reviewing business and functional requirements documents to create appropriate test documentation.
- Adhering to functional testing and software best practices (TDD, BDD).
- Working with test automation, automation frameworks, test tool creation (i.e., Selenium Web Driver, Java, and Junit).
- Utilizing API testing or Web Services Testing using Rest Assured, SOAP, UI, Postman, Rest based services and React Framework based front end testing environments.
Qualifications
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field and five (5) years of professional work experience designing and developing enterprise-level software applications.
- Must also have five (5) years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:
- The full software development lifecycle and common software development practices including version control, unit testing, agile methodologies, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery;
- Functional testing and software best practices including test-driven development and behavior-driven development;
- Test automation, automation frameworks, and test tool creation, such as Selenium Web Driver, Java, and Junit;
- API testing or Web Services Testing using tools such as Rest Assured, SOAP, UI, Postman, and Rest based services;
- Performance testing and analysis framework for web services architecture and associated back-end applications;
