We offer competitive wages, full health care benefits and a continuous learning culture for those who want to grow with the company.Job Summary:The CNC Laser Operator – Metal Cutting is responsible for the operation of CNC metal cutting laser system and for running and maintaining the laser equipment. Works closely with the Laser Programmer in order to fulfill the orders of cutting parts. Maintains the laser equipment to ensure timely and consistent production of quality cut parts.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Checks and prepares machine for daily operation.Follows daily, weekly and monthly check lists.Preforms duties such as:Changes laser gas mixture once it has reached 24 hours.Conducts height calibrations.Centers Nozzle.Cleans Window.Clears alarms.Loads and unloads as needed.Performs regular and general maintenance.Follows operational standards and trouble shooting guide.Unloads and puts away steel from the steel truck.Cleans out drawers on both sides of the Laser every other day and distributes parts to proper location.Assists with part break out when not running laser.Unloads skeleton cart and dumps steel dumpster.Collects steel order and laser parts quantities at the end of each week.Works daily to keep equipment and area clean and organized.Helps fill in with various forklift duties; loads and unloads trucks when the material handler is not present.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Ability to work and achieve goals with minimum supervision.Self-starter, motivated and works well in a team environment.Experience with metal cutting CNC equipment.Experience with Mitsubishi and Cincinnati Incorporated equipment a plus but not required.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent2-3 years minimum Laser Operator experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work standing for up to 10 hours per day.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
