What You’ll Do:

  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable integration solutions and pipelines in support of data and analytics projects, including integrating new and existing raw and enterprise application sources of data.
  • Configure and build out the infrastructure required for optimal storage, extraction, transformation, loading, and retrieval of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, tuning existing data objects for performance, etc.
  • Work with various cross-functional teams to assist with data-related requests and solution development.
  • Work closely with engineers, product owners, data owners, and other cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
  • Deliver solutions that are relayed directly to business leaders.
  • Maintain delta lake architecture to support real-time and batch data processing.
  • Contribute to the development of SSAS or other Tabular models to support complex analytics and business intelligence requirements.
  • Implement best practices for data security, backup, recovery and redundancy to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and suggest improvements to our data stack.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from four-year college or university.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a data-specific role focused on the creation, modification, and maintenance of integration solutions.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, specifically with Microsoft Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Proven experience in optimizing and performance tuning pipelines and processes including experience with Python and Powershell scripting.
  • Experience with data repository, data lake, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in handling data - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality, and improving discoverability of data.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Terraform.
  • Familiarity with open-source data engineering tools and software.
  • Experience with master data management and data governance processes and program.
