Job Summary
The National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence (NCAME) is seeking a CNC Machinist to conduct machining on various metallic materials.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications
High school education or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
An associate degree and/or two years of experience is preferred

- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies
AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions
- Able to set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines
- Work from drawings and written instructions to perform machining
- Write/edit/modify programs for CNC Machines
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance
- Troubleshoot and correct operational and quality issues
- Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
