Senior PowerBi Developer

This position is a direct-hire W2 position; no corp-to-corp applications will be considered.

Donan Consulting is seeking a qualified full-time employee to serve as a Sr. PowerBi Developer who will play a crucial role in transforming data into insights that drive business decisions. The Sr. PowerBi Developer will use his/her expertise in PowerBi, SQL, and data warehouse management to create and maintain business intelligence solutions. He/she will also lead meetings and collaborate effectively with teams.

Responsibilities

• PowerBi Visualizations: Utilize Microsoft Power BI to create compelling business intelligence visualizations.
• DAX and SQL: Write complex queries and stored procedures in SQL and DAX, focusing on Role Level Security, indexing, and relationships between tabular data structures. Create data dictionaries and other relevant documentation.
• Analysis: Analyze requirements or existing systems, and make recommendations on designing, modeling, or organizing new database schemas to support visualizations. Identify and report data issues to business departments.
• Data Warehouse Management: Manage the data warehouse by creating, organizing, and documenting all applicable data relationships and views.
• Lead Meetings: Lead meetings with business units to educate users on features in the BI space.
• Communication Skills / Collaboration: Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Troubleshooting / Analysis: Troubleshoot complex technical issues using tools to debug and analyze data.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• At least 8 years of experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting.
• Ability to design and develop complex data models.
• Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerBi.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and stored procedures in T-SQL.
• Strong knowledge of PowerBi DAX queries.
• Ability to document user requirements documentation.
• Experience in analyzing requirements and designing new database schemas.
• Proven ability to manage data warehouses.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
