Reliability (ACE) Engineer

Location: El Dorado, AR

A leading organization, currently unnamed for confidentiality, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team in El Dorado, Arkansas. This pivotal role bridges the gap between production and maintenance, engineering, and external expertise, ensuring optimal asset care and enhancing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and uphold Asset Care Excellence (ACE) principles, ensuring all activities adhere to safety operations and compliance.
  2. Develop and maintain equipment maintenance systems and programs that exceed regulatory standards.
  3. Analyze maintenance costs and operational efficiency losses to identify and rectify system inefficiencies.
  4. Lead cross-functional teams in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, and more, to foster continuous improvement.
  5. Manage the capital project input and budgeting for your area, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  6. Coordinate and execute maintenance work orders, set scheduling priorities, and drive reductions in emergency work orders.
  7. Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations, ensuring thorough follow-up and implementation of corrective actions.
  8. Oversee mechanical equipment maintenance outside the Mechanical Integrity program, including inventory and documentation management.
  9. Coordinate plant changes to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reliability, and process quality.
  10. Develop a reliability strategy that aligns with business needs, focusing on a proactive maintenance approach.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited program.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in the Chemical/Process or Petrochemical Industry.
  3. Strong capability to build solid working relationships with production and maintenance teams.
  4. Ability to mentor and teach, coupled with a basic understanding of accounting principles.
  5. This role is safety and security sensitive, requiring handling of hazardous materials and compliance with DHS CFATS regulation.
