Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Overview:

Join a dynamic team to build a cloud-based system from the ground up, leveraging the Microsoft web stack and Azure Cloud. This role involves driving DevOps practices and automating software delivery to enhance agility and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software solutions, from build system automation to automated deployments, enabling scalable engineering delivery.
Introduce continuous deployment (CD) practices to strengthen the organization’s Agile development posture.
Lead and provide strategic direction for DevOps projects, including assessments, roadmaps, and technical leadership.
Architect, develop, deploy, and optimize CI/CD systems for cloud applications.
Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools and services.
Automate application deployment with widely used configuration management and deployment tools.
Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines to provision and manage both test and production environments.
Respond to system alerts and provide support for monitoring tools.
Stay current with Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and toolsets.
Collaborate with developers to identify necessary Azure resources and automate their provisioning.
Document automation processes and provide troubleshooting support for CI/CD infrastructure.

Skills & Abilities:

10+ years of professional IT experience, with 5+ years in DevOps engineering.
Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and continuous integration practices.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, Git, Git Flow, and Visual Studio.
Proficiency in cloud monitoring and logging solutions, preferably in Azure.
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team-first culture.
Solid understanding of C#, .NET Core/.NET 5, TypeScript, and PowerShell scripting.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Container Registry.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and package management tools (NuGet, ProGet, etc.).
Experience deploying SQL Server on Azure.
A proactive problem solver who can assess risk, see the big picture, and take initiative in driving projects forward.
