Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in audio acoustics, including building test setups and managing labs and associated equipment.
- Experience with audio test equipment.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Audio Acoustics, Speech Signal Processing, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in automating measurements using audio test equipment including Audio Precision, HeadAcoustics, Prism dScope, Rohde and Schwarz, as well as signal generators, SPL meters, and measurement transducers from Brüel & Kjær and GRAS.
- Knowledge of data strategies for developing various AI/ML models.
- Understanding of common audio issues in the recording industry and their root causes.
- Proficiency with software tools such as SoundCheck, CLIO, LabVIEW, Daqarta, and others.

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio and acoustics lab test equipment to ensure precise, dependable measurements, and data collection for the development of machine learning models.
- Calibrate and maintain audio test systems, and manage the operation and upkeep of reverberation chambers, anechoic chambers and data science labs, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to acoustic hardware and test setups.
- Design and develop test scenarios, tools, and procedures to validate audio system performance.
- Analyze measured data and provide actionable feedback to system designers and product leads.
